Located within the grounds of Hidden Valley is
The Porterswick Junction Light Railway or P.J.L.R for short.
The railway is built to a track gauge of 7.25 inches and from April 1st 2012 will have double the track running length, from 0.5 miles to 1 mile. The new extension will take you right into the heart of a brand new development at Hidden Valley, which visitors will be able to see the ongoing building works, through out the 2012 season. Further details will be released later in the year about this new development.
Much attention to detail is apparent on the railway, with telegraph poles, signal box, signage, a brick and stone bridge, wooden bridge, and a 110 feet tunnel which is built with an 'S' shape inside so passengers are unable to see the exit on entry.
Two locomotives are used to haul passenger trains, a petrol/hydraulic locomotive (diesel) and a coal fired steam locomotive
